Are you Weak? Draw nearer to God

Hello Readers,

I know it's been a while (forever right). Oh well, I have been busy with school, work and life in general. Mein, it's been up and down but thanks be to God! I am still standing, alive and well & 'it can only get better'. I guess I will still say Happy New Month of December. E ku Ipalemo odun (Happy Preparation of the festive period...haha see my Yoruba English). God will keep us all till the end in Jesus name (Amen).

Anyways, most people (especially those in the States know that Thursday Night is Scandal time). It is usually a day of the week that I am always looking forward to...(hmm) May God have mercy on me. So, this night I choose not to watch Scandal. I feel I need me, myself and God time (which has not been constant recently apart from my regular 1hr I spent for my devotion everyday in the morning).

I was on YouTube earlier and I came across  a video message by Paul Washer titled: "Your Weakness should drive you to God" Here is the link Your Weakness should drive you to God. In my opinion, the perfect message to listen to at this time. Below is my summary from the message and I am trusting God that the Holy Spirit will minister to you:
  • "Our problem is not that we are weak but the problem is that we don’t recognize our weakness"
  • Weakness should be something that drives or draws you closer to God. When you recognize your weakness, you are to be driven to God because you know He is your only source of strength. God is your helper who has unlimited resources to help you overcome your weaknesses.
  • Going back to God for forgiveness after you have sinned is the best way to go. One is showing a form of dependence on God. However, this doesn't mean we are allowed to go our different way to sin because we know God will forgive us our sins, NO!.
  • No wonder God told Paul in 2 Corinthians 12: 9; AMP [But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!] when Paul was faced with those trial & He asked God to help.
  •  Everyone is weak, no one can follow the rules in the Bible by their own power. We receive our strength only in God.  Philippians 4:13; AMP (I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.

I thought it will be nice to share this with you'all. Thank you all for reading and see you next time.
Have a great weekend!
Stay Blessed

Laying of Hands

Good morning Readers,

How are you all doing?? I believe you all had a great week & I believe your weekend is going on well as well. Well, I have been good. Happy New month of September! (I know it's coming late right #smiles). I pray that this month will be our month of laughter in Jesus name (Amen).

Well, School is back in session so I am trying to make a balance between work and school. However, God has been my strength in the past week. Also, I made a huge career goal change but I thank God for places the He is taking me too. Lest I forget, it's my last year in University for my undergrad studies...whew #excited #ThankGod

Recently, there was something going around on social media about Tyler laying his hands on Bishop T. D. Jakes (hmmmn, the YouTube link has been removed). There are different comments/responses from people regarding this video. However, I will like to share what I think about this from the Bible.

Courtesy: The Christian Post
***On a side note, this post isn't to gossip but to enlighten other people (Christians) out there.***

I will give few points from my little knowledge from the bible using Bible verse. When I saw this picture, my mind just went to a similar occurrence in my church. A minister was invited to my church and he laid hands on everyone but my Pastor didn't allow this man to lay his hands on Him. At that time I was still naive, so I was surprised when my Pastor reacted that way. Now I can reason along the path that Christians must be careful of who they allow to lay hands on them.

Laying of hands is a spiritual/scriptural thing. it is one of the Church doctrines (Hebrews 6:2b). It has been a practice in the Bible from the Old testament to the New testament.
  • Spirit of Wisdom came upon Joshua after Moses laid his hands on Him (Deuteronomy 34:9)
  • You can receive blessings by the laying of hands (Mark 10:16; Genesis 48:13-20)
  • One can receive healing through laying of hands (Matthew 9:24-25; 8:1-3; Luke 4:40; 13:11-13)
  • When hands is laid on a new convert, they can receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:14-17; and speak in tongues 19:4-6)
  • The gift of God in you can be 'stirred up' by the laying of hands (2 Timothy 1:6)
However, Apostle Paul instructed Christians to be careful & not to be quick to lay hands on a fellow brother or sister in the Lord (1 timothy 5:22). Remember that the same spirit which dwelleth in the person who laid his/her hands on you will be transferred to you (Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. Deuteronomy 34:9a).

Bottom-line: Be watchful & prayerful of whose hands you allowed to be laid on you. Just because He pastor or minister in church doesn't mean he have the spirit of God in him. BE WISE!

Have a great weekend!
Stay Blessed

"...I love you more than anything"

Good morning Readers,

How are you all doing today?? I believe your week is going on well. Well, mine has been good so far...thank God. Wow, what am I still doing up this early??? I seriously don't know o (in my Naija accent). Although my eyes are so heavy and the next thing on my mind now is sleep...I guess not.

Thank God the 61st RCCG Convention is over, it was a glorious time in His presence. It was time of reflection and re-evaluation of my Spiritual walk with God. God has been dealing with me recently with different message centered on my love for him & relationship with Him.

Oh seriously though, why am I still up?? Well, I got the answer...about to shut down my computer and sleep off but I guess not yet. A song just came to my mind (...I love you Jesus song but that's not the title though...lol). Oh yes...I found the real title and song lyrics (thanks to Google #smiling ). The song title is "More than anything" by Lamar Campbell and lyrics is below

I lift my hands in total adoration unto you
You reign on the throne for you are God and God alone
Because of you my cloudy days are gone
I can sing to you this song
I just want to say that I love you more than anything

Love me in your arms
You were my shelter from the storm
When all my friends were gone
You were right there all along
I never knew a love like this before, oh
I just want to say that I love you more than anything

I love you Jesus
I worship and adore you
Just want to tell you
Lord, I love you more than anything

This is just a way of saying I love God more than anything. Jesus, you first loved me even in my darkest times. I know I am not perfect, I know I have some weakness but you have made those things to be my testimony. I can look back today & really say it is you in my life. IT IS REALLY YOU, JESUS!!!!!!!!! It is only you that brings a change to my life.

I am what I am by your grace. Lord, I desire for more of you in my life. I receive grace and wisdom to love you more and more daily in Jesus name (Amen).

I thank God for calling me out of darkness into His marvelous light to show forth His praise as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar person (personalizing 1 peter 2:9).

I love You fervently and devotedly, O Lord, my Strength.

The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower (Psalm 18:1-2; AMP).

Yes, you can receive the kind of unconditional love for God. All you need to is invite him to make your life is home. You can say this wholeheartedly: Jesus I need you and I surrender everything (ministry, my career, finances, health, marriage, family and future) to you. Come into my life this moment and I help me to love you more than anything in this world in Jesus name (Amen). I believe God will answer your prayer.

Thank You Jesus
Have a great day & Stay blessed!

Are my motives right with God??

Hello Readers,

Happy New Month of August! May you receive a august visitation from the Lord in every aspect of your life this month in Jesus name (Amen). The month of August is special in it's own way in few ways.

  1. It's my spiritual birthday. It reminds me of the month I finally decided to say Yes to Jesus in my life (Hallelujah).
  2. It reminds me of another academic year, school preparation: back to school shopping, planing & evaluation of past years and what to do better in this new year.
  3. It reminds of the RCCG worldwide convention. The convention actually started few hours ago in Nigeria and it will end on Sunday. The theme this year is 'JESUS'.
Anyways, my devotion today was actually on-point. (don't get me wrong, everyday with Jesus is usually great time). However, the topic of the study today was "Godly Motives" and it was just on-time for me. The bible verse for study is from Psalm 139:23; AMP  Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! This bible verse got me thinking about my motive.

A spiritual motive check is required daily for every child of God. I actually think this is fading away nowadays. We are now taught of teachings that says 'do this and you'll get that'. What about do this because  it is right and it honors God?? Our motives in the kingdom as Christians has been shifted from God to ourselves. We are more 'self-centered' than to be 'heavenly-centered'.  The bible gave us a good example in Daniel 3:1-30 where the three Hebrew men (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) choose to stand for God. The part that was mind-blowing when they said they won't bow down to the graven image even if God will not save them from  King Nebuchadnezzar's hand (Daniel 3:16-18, NIV) Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us[c] from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up".  These men decided to be heavenly-centered and not self centered. Their motive was based on God and not on what they will receive from him.

The questions are:  how many of you are like these men?? Are you doing those good deeds because you want receive it in returns or is it because it honors God?? Do you have your own agenda for going to church or you are going to meet with God?? Is the time you spent in fasting and praying for your own selfish desire?? What about the time you spend helping that fellow through that challenges, do you expect the same from the person or you did it because God told you to help those in need??

The list of questions can go on and on, but the point is: let your motive be centered on God and not on what you will receive from him if you do that thing. Today, I am imploring you to 'make a wholehearted commitment to serve God for the right reasons'.

Prayer: Heavenly father, search my heart and expose any area of my life wherein my motives are not true. Have mercy on me and give me the grace to serve you for the right motive in Jesus name (Amen)

I strongly believed that the Lord will answer that prayer and he will give you the grace to serve him wholehearted. Enjoy the rest of the week.

Stay Blessed!

IT'S NOT OVER!!!

Good morning Readers,

How has your week been??? Mine has been great so far. God has been my strenght so far and I know He will see you and I through it in Jesus name.

Few people might have know that now that I love listening to music. I think it is one of the way God speaks to me. It might be b'cos I minister in songs :-) . Anyways, this morning God is speaking to me through It Ain't Over by Maurette Brown . I really feel this song is actually on-time. At the stage of my life, I have so many decisions to make (career, goal, ministry, etc). I have been asking God for direction for this aspect of my life. The lyrics of the song is below :

I know the odds look stacked against you
And it seems there's no way out
I know the issue seems unchangeable
And that there's no reason to shout
But the impossible is God's chance
To work a miracle, a miracle
So just know

It ain't over until God says it's over
It ain't over until God says it's done
It ain't over until God says it's over
Keep fighting until your victory is won

He never said it would be easy
But you're a winner in the end
Jesus defeated all your enemies
Way before the fight began
But the impossible is God's chance
To work a miracle, a miracle
So just know

It ain't over until God says it's over...

Yes, at the stage in my life...there seems to be way out. Sometimes, I want to stay in bed all day think about it, shout all day long. However, this song is reminding me that I have a father who love and cares for me so much. I know my miracle time is now. As Jesus defeated his enemies and conquered, I will conquer in Jesus name. Iyinoluwa, remember what the Bible says...You are more than a conqueror though Jesus Christ (Romans 8:37). You need to trust in God with ALL your heart, don't rely on your understanding...He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You better put your confidence in God and in Him alone (Psalm 118:9) because those that put there mind on God are blessed (Jeremiah 17:7). It is only in God that your needs are met and the lines are fallen in pleasant places for you (Psalm 16:5-6). So Who shall I fear??? No one, because if God is for you...no one (nothing) can stand against you (Psalm 27:1). Be rest assured that the 'God of angels of armies is always by your side'. Finally, remember that all will work out for your own good and you will fulfill God's purpose for your life.

You might be facing a situation or challenge where there seems to be no way or no one to help you. Don't give up. Keep believing, keep confessing his promises over that situation and keep praying because your set time is near. You will not miss the appointed time for your breakthrough in Jesus name (Amen).

I was led to share this and encourage someone through this post.

Have a great day!
Stay blessed

The Young Lady in Waiting (Part 3)

Hello Readers,

Happy Mid-Week (Wednesday), I believe your week is going well. Mine has been good so far, just been busy lately now that I am taking a course online but God has been faithful. I don't really know about your side, but it has been so hot here and it will continue for the rest of the week. Well, I am grateful to God (not complaining) for every season :-)

I am sure you have been blessed through the 1st & 2nd part of the post (The Young Lady in Waiting Part 1 and Part 2). By God's grace I will be writing the concluding part today!!!! I'm thankful to God for the strength and the privilege to write and minister to you all through these posts. As you read, I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide and minister to you as read in Jesus name (Amen).

  • During the waiting period, there will be a lot of temptations and given-up situations but don't give up
  • Wait patiently for the Lord and he will answer you at his (God's) appointed time for you. Psalm 40: 1 ; KJV  I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 Peter 3:8-9; NIV  But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
  • Don't believe any of the devil's lies but depend on God's word for conviction. Romans 12:2; NIV Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
  • Don't compromise your Godly standard with the world standard. 2 Corinthians 6:14-17; KJV Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
  • Remember that God surely desire the best for you. Jeremiah 29:11; AMP  For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome
  • Keep your body pure i.e. no sex before marriage (Yes, I really meant it). Just like the way you can't eat a fruit unripe, so don't have sex before marriage. Romans 12:1. KJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Hebrews 13:4; NIV Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral
  • Don't allow fear and insecurity to steal/take away your joy. Insecurity results into worry, lies and frustration Matthew 6: 34; KJV Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Fear brings torments 1 John 4:18; KJV There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
  • Your waiting period is when God is preparing you for the greater works ahead & he (God) wants you to be perfect for your future "Mr. Right"  for females or "Miss Right" for males. Psalm 37:3-7; NIV Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
  • Finally, your circumstances; your past or even geographical location will not disturb/hinder what has God purposed for you.
Remember that God has the best in plan for you and he will not withhold any good thing from you (Psalm 84:11). God will hear your cry and he will remember you. It is well with you in Jesus name (Amen)

Enjoy the rest of your week!
Stay Blessed

The Young Lady in Waiting (Part 2)

Happy Sunday Readers,

How was your Sunday service?? I believed that you had an awesome weekend and service today. Well, I didn't go to my home church today (I was strong) but I went to church online (Thank God for technology). I will be sharing what I learned from the message later during the week.

Three days ago, I shared with you the lessons learnt from a book titled "The Young Lady in Waiting: Developing the heart of a princess". You can get your own hard-copy or eBook version of the book from this link  The Young Lady in Waiting. This book is not for anyone young lady but for a young lady who want to follow God's guidelines for her life. I pray that the Holy Spirit will minister & instruct you today as you read in Jesus name (Amen).

Just a re-cap from the last post (you can find it here The Young Lady in waiting-PART 1 )

  • Getting involved in the things of the kingdom is the best thing you can ever do (1 Corinthians 7:34; KJV There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
  • You only get full satisfaction when you get involved in the service of God.
  • Your waiting period is an opportunity for you to use your God-given gifts. Everyone created has a God-given gift(s) hidden in them. It is either you've discovered them or that you haven't discovered them yet. Your gift might range from hospitality, teaching, giving encouragement to people, prayer (intercessory), counseling, providing service, listening, rendering help and many more. It is important for everyone to locate and use their God-given gift. [My prayer for you is that you will locate your gift(s) and use it for God's glory in Jesus name Amen]
  • Your motive must be right while using your gifts and attending singles' event. A single lady or guy can attend all the single conferences, seminars, conferences but if your number one motive is to meet "Mr. Right" then you might be disappointing if you don't achieve this purpose. All I am saying is, have a spiritual mindset/perspective while attending those events. Don't be carnally minded by spending more hours thinking on what to wear and forgetting the spiritual purpose of it. Sometimes, you can seek God's face, pray for God to lead you and leave the rest to Him to perfect it.
  • Forget any anxious thoughts or questions that are based on fears but place your eyes on Jesus (Psalm 121:1-2; KJV) I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
(Philippians 4:6-7; KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
  • Draw near to God during the waiting period. Spend quality time in his word, make positive confessions, believe in His word regarding your marital life, spend time in prayer and seek God's face. (Romans 10:17; KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
  • Develop your inner man (your spiritual life).  You don't want to base your marriage only on beauty while neglecting your spirit being. Your beauty should come from within because "A marriage based on outward beauty can lead to immortality". (1 Peter 3:3-4; NIV) Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.  Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
Bottom-line: Don't spend time developing your outward beauty while forgetting what God has called you to be. Seek first God's kingdom and he will add His increase to it.

Stay focused, I will be back soon to share the final post on this topic with you.

Have a great week ahead!
Stay Blessed

The Young Lady in Waiting (Part 1)

Hello readers,

I am back again to write, but this time I will be sharing lessons from what I learnt from a book I read. Well, recently I developed interest in reading books. If you know me before, you will know that I don't read(I am not saying I am now a guru/Oga/a Pro in reading book #lol). A friend of mine has told me since to read books so I guess now he will be proud of me that I am getting better :-) . Since I am single young lady, well I decided to pick up books along relationship line in order to gain more knowledge and insights. As a christian, I only read books written by christian authors (I can't relate to your book if it is not based on God's principles).

Enough of my ranting #lol, I read a book titled: "The young Lady in waiting: developing the heart of a princess" by Jackie Kendall & Debby Jones (check Christianbook.com or Amazon.com) and It was a mind-blowing book. I will be sharing few points I learn from the book with you, I am trusting in the Holy Spirit to teach you himself in Jesus name (Amen).

  • "Happy are those people (single/married) who discovered that happiness is not found in marriage but in a right relationship with God". (One of my best quote from the book)
  • Therefore, it is only God that can complete a man or woman. It is not her job, finance, not even marriage. According to (Colossians 2:9-10; KJV) For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power
  • Your life partner is suppose to complement (enhances) the works that Jesus has done on you. This is the reason the person God has prepared for you must fit into His(God's) purpose for you.
  • After the completion of God is done in you, then you can be the right help-meet. (Genesis 2:18; KJV) And the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet for him.
  • A young woman or man will feel incomplete not because you are single but you are not in full relationship with God (the one who first showed you his love) (John 3:16;KJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He should you his great love by dying for the sin he never committed. (John 15:13; KJV) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  (Romans 5:8, KJV) But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
Bottomline: Your single/waiting period is not for you in cry and ask God the "why me" questions but to love Him(Jesus/God) like he loved you.

I believed God has blessed you from these post. Well, it is not yet over because this is just part one. Stay focused, I will be back soon to share more with you.

Note: I am preaching to myself through this post, so I encourage you to share with your friends.

Stay blessed!

Yay!!!!!!!!!! It is another thanksgiving Sunday

Hello readers,
Let me say, Happy New month of July!

I know I have been here a while ago (May God deliver me from the spirit of procrastination). I have missed writing here o. All the glory to God for everything that has happened in previous months. A lot has happened to me, thank God for them all (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Now that today is thanksgiving Sunday (every first Sunday of the month). I am here to count my every blessings o.

When I was here the last time, I was a year younger but thank God for adding another year to my life. My friends in school actually organized a surprise b'day dinner for me...love them so much. Wow, I can't believe I am that old #jokes
 That food taste so good!

Also, I collected another academic year in school. I am alive and well as well.
Another drastic change, I went natural (did my big chop on May 22nd...i think) and I have been loving my hair since then...so much work but thank God o.
Relaxed hair

transition period

Here comes my natural hair pix

There are other testimonies that words cannot say all but I will sum it all up in a Christian Hymn: Count your blessing

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,

When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Refrain

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

Refrain

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

Refrain

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

Refrain

I am counting my blessings for what he has done, he is doing and what he will still do.
Thank you Jesus!

Checking the time, it is quite late now. Going to sleep, I have to be up in few hours for church to thank Jesus for the 2nd half of the year. I believe God that is will be a glorious one and God will shower our lives with blessings in Jesus name.

Stay blessed!

God's principles, Not the World principles

So I have been thinking on some of this principles for a  long time, I thought of sharing it with you.

Can u imagine someone planting in famine, the world would probably say "What a dumb idea, how can somebody plant in famine. But the good new is that Isaac sow in famine as instructed by God (Genesis 26:1-6;12-29). What came out of it, He was blessed.

Also, the bible says: "...by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). I don't know what ever sickness or disease u're dealing with, maybe it's even a doctor's report concern your health, just declare the Word into that situation...and I know that you will receive your total healing.

The Word also says : "Love your enemies, bless them that cursed you..." (Matthew 5:44).Naturally, you are expected to hate your enemies, curse them. The WORD said something something contrary.

How about "The Father of faith", Abraham; He gave the only son that God gave Him back to Him but God bless in abundance . God made Him a blessing to all the nations  of the earth (Genesis 22:16-18). How you give the only son God has given to you for a sacrifice, Abraham must be stupid... am sure all of us will call Him all sort of names. But that is how God, the WORD works.

What of giving principles  When you give someone something is not necessary the person give you back. But God said: "Give, and it shall given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be given back to you" (Luke 6:38). That is how the heavenly father has promised to give u back.

What is that situation or issue that is causing you to have sleepless night but the word says "...it shall be well with u" (Isaiah 3:10).

All this cannot happen with unbelief, you must believe the word in your heart and all His promise will come to pass. Faith is "believing is seeing" but in the world, seeing is believing. Have faith in God that everything will work out together for good for you b'cos you are His child and called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

But is difficult for someone who has not totally surrender their life to God. These people postponing the salvation are also postponing their blessings in the Kingdom. Please, do not postpone your salvation because tomorrow might be too late for u. Acknowledge God in all your ways, He will surely direct your paths and lead your steps to His plan for your life.
STOP PLAYING RELIGION, LET JESUS CHRIST BE ROOTED IN YOUR LIFE.

Have a blessed weekend!!!

My Testimony!!!

Today, I will be sharing with you my testimony with music. Listening to music is my life...okay to re-frame that I mean it is what I do (lifestyle). I listen to music to for leisure (some people ask me how I can sit down by myself all day and Listen to music...I'll tell u it is different). Oh, I don't listen to any music though...I am a christian so my songs must minister to me. Apart from reading my Bible and devotion time, listening to Christian songs is my way of staying connected to God every time. People ask me how I can listen to only Christian songs...I tell them it is a personal encounter. It is not by my power...all the glory be to God.

So, It started over 3yrs ago..I think I was listening to a song by T.I; an American Musician(not so sure of the title) & b'cos it was Saturday night...preparing for church so I got into the church mood. Then, I started listening to Darlene Zschech (formerly a Worship Leader at Hillsong church but now a Pastor of a church in Australia). The song really ministered to me and I got into mood of listening to all the song she sang...that's how I discovered Hillsong. I kept on listening, something in me was feeling the song (I would say as at that time but now I would say it is the Spirit of God in me). Then, I switched back to the song I was listening to before...wow the connection got disconnected. I mean I wasn't feeling the same feeling I had while I was listening to the Christian song. So, it occur to me that there's a different between those songs. From that day, I decided not to listen to any song that doesn't glorify God. Although, I have struggles sometimes but I got up & here I am...praise be to God :) . So anyone thinking that it is weird for someone to only listening to Christian songs...maybe when they have a similar encounter like mine, they will understand. However, I am not judging anyone; we are different stages in our level of work with God. Like I said before, it is just God's grace because making such a decision as a teenager is very challenging.

So, once in a while God ministers to me through songs. Today, the song is "Whom shall I fear" by Chris Tomlin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOkImV2cJDg .The message from this song is when God is for me, no one can be against me (Romans 8:31). When God is for me, all is settled & I have no reason to fear, doubt or fret.

Thank you Jesus for being by side, I know sometimes I want to do things in my own way but you are always there for me. Your arms are wide open to accept me anytime or any day. Thank you for been merciful and for bringing me thus far...I KNOW AND I CONFESS I WILL LET YOU TAKE CHARGE OF EVERYTHING!!!! I REFUSE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING.

Stay Blessed!

My identity in Christ Jesus

Hey readers, I thought of sharing this with you. I will be discussing 'my heritage in Christ as a believer'. What am i entitled to as a believer and Christ son/daughter. Firstly, heritage is something that is passed from one generation to the next. In other words, inheritance. So what is/are my inheritance in Christ??? If I know them, do I need to sit down and look at them or I need to confess/claim them. In an article, Now are we in Christ by Kenneth Copeland, He discussed different promises of Jesus that we are entitled to as Christians (Christ followers).

Our identity covers everything and all aspect of life (spiritual, financial, material, marital, educational...so on). For instance, we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Christ Jesus, the Son...we have been redeem (Colossians 1:13&14, KJV). We are saved (Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8&9) and justified by His blood (Romans 5:9). We are receive our healing in His name (Isaiah 53:5,KJV). We are redeemed from the every curses (Galatians 3:13) and we are entitled to Abraham's blessing (verse 14-29). We are no longer under bondage, we are free (Galatians 4-5:1). We are new creature/being in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) and poverty is not found in Him (2 Corinthians 8:9). With these points listed above...we as Christians/believers must contend in word/prayer/believe/confess this. That is the reason we need to know the word by heart and for our self because the devil knows that ones we confess and believe those words...the battle is over.

The bible says, by mouth confession is made,...our word is like a seed that becomes whatever is planted/spoken. So today, I advice you to search the scripture and begin today by claiming your inheritance/identity in Jesus.  Personally, one thing I do each is to make confession....I do this immediately after my devotion. Well, things have changed for me since I made it an habit...you can get into that habit too & see God move mighty in your life.
It shall be well with you, I declare today that you and yours is bless, favor will surround you from today henceforth. You will not be stranded, God will direct your path and cause you to shine for His glory in Jesus name.
Stay blessed!

HE IS WORTHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me begin by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! This year 2013 shall be a year of greatness, favor and uplifting in Jesus name (AMEN).

A question people ask you or you get ask by people normally during your work with God is ‘how do you hear from God??’ I am sure every Christian at some point in their journey has been asked this question. At the beginning of this year, I started using a daily devotion guide by Joyce Meyer which is “promises of your everyday Life” (I used open heavens devotional for the past years) since I have Bible app on my phone. Besides, this will also help me to be accountable in my daily devotion and I won’t need to skip it.
Today, Day 22 topic is “Complaining is a sin”. The Bible reading (Psalm 100) focus on how we should come into God’s presence with praise & thanksgiving. Joyce said “complaining cause a great problem to us and even to our listeners. Thanksgiving should be the last thing we do before going to bed and the first to do in the morning. Many of us (especially those in the Western World) complain about everything. We complain about our job (too stressful and all that) whereas there they are people out there that will be grateful for having that same job. We complain our kids (for parents), we complain about the weather (oh it is too cold this morning; it is too hot…I do this sometimes…but It is stopping today). This sentence struck my heart, “be generous with your gratitude. It will sweeten your relationship with the Lord”.
However, getting on facebook a friend posted a youtube link of a song on my wall (http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=m30zYLQlzDE). Going on the Open Heavens Devotional page, today’s topic is “separating the twins??” which focus was on thanksgiving and praise again. “Complaints reduce your value while thanksgiving increases your worth”.
“A thankful individual will therefore enjoy good health because of the constant state of joy of his heart occasioned by his positive mental attitude” (proverb 17:22)
Well, God is saying something today that all that you and I need to do is to be thankful and praise. Even the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you
So for the rest of this year and your life, I encourage you to be thankful to God. Let your heart be filled His praise. There is harvest (Psalm 67:5-6) when you praise God for who He is, what He has done, who He is doing and what He’ll do
