I am back again to write, but this time I will be sharing lessons from what I learnt from a book I read. Well, recently I developed interest in reading books. If you know me before, you will know that I don't read(I am not saying I am now a guru/Oga/a Pro in reading book #lol). A friend of mine has told me since to read books so I guess now he will be proud of me that I am getting better :-) . Since I am single young lady, well I decided to pick up books along relationship line in order to gain more knowledge and insights. As a christian, I only read books written by christian authors (I can't relate to your book if it is not based on God's principles).
Enough of my ranting #lol, I read a book titled: "The young Lady in waiting: developing the heart of a princess" by Jackie Kendall & Debby Jones (check Christianbook.com or Amazon.com) and It was a mind-blowing book. I will be sharing few points I learn from the book with you, I am trusting in the Holy Spirit to teach you himself in Jesus name (Amen).
- "Happy are those people (single/married) who discovered that happiness is not found in marriage but in a right relationship with God". (One of my best quote from the book)
- Therefore, it is only God that can complete a man or woman. It is not her job, finance, not even marriage. According to (Colossians 2:9-10; KJV) For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power
- Your life partner is suppose to complement (enhances) the works that Jesus has done on you. This is the reason the person God has prepared for you must fit into His(God's) purpose for you.
- After the completion of God is done in you, then you can be the right help-meet. (Genesis 2:18; KJV) And the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet for him.
- A young woman or man will feel incomplete not because you are single but you are not in full relationship with God (the one who first showed you his love) (John 3:16;KJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He should you his great love by dying for the sin he never committed. (John 15:13; KJV) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (Romans 5:8, KJV) But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
Bottomline: Your single/waiting period is not for you in cry and ask God the "why me" questions but to love Him(Jesus/God) like he loved you.
I believed God has blessed you from these post. Well, it is not yet over because this is just part one. Stay focused, I will be back soon to share more with you.
Note: I am preaching to myself through this post, so I encourage you to share with your friends.
Stay blessed!
