How are you all doing?? I believe you all had a great week & I believe your weekend is going on well as well. Well, I have been good. Happy New month of September! (I know it's coming late right #smiles). I pray that this month will be our month of laughter in Jesus name (Amen).
Well, School is back in session so I am trying to make a balance between work and school. However, God has been my strength in the past week. Also, I made a huge career goal change but I thank God for places the He is taking me too. Lest I forget, it's my last year in University for my undergrad studies...whew #excited #ThankGod
Recently, there was something going around on social media about Tyler laying his hands on Bishop T. D. Jakes (hmmmn, the YouTube link has been removed). There are different comments/responses from people regarding this video. However, I will like to share what I think about this from the Bible.

I will give few points from my little knowledge from the bible using Bible verse. When I saw this picture, my mind just went to a similar occurrence in my church. A minister was invited to my church and he laid hands on everyone but my Pastor didn't allow this man to lay his hands on Him. At that time I was still naive, so I was surprised when my Pastor reacted that way. Now I can reason along the path that Christians must be careful of who they allow to lay hands on them.
Laying of hands is a spiritual/scriptural thing. it is one of the Church doctrines (Hebrews 6:2b). It has been a practice in the Bible from the Old testament to the New testament.
- Spirit of Wisdom came upon Joshua after Moses laid his hands on Him (Deuteronomy 34:9)
- You can receive blessings by the laying of hands (Mark 10:16; Genesis 48:13-20)
- One can receive healing through laying of hands (Matthew 9:24-25; 8:1-3; Luke 4:40; 13:11-13)
- When hands is laid on a new convert, they can receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:14-17; and speak in tongues 19:4-6)
- The gift of God in you can be 'stirred up' by the laying of hands (2 Timothy 1:6)
However, Apostle Paul instructed Christians to be careful & not to be quick to lay hands on a fellow brother or sister in the Lord (1 timothy 5:22). Remember that the same spirit which dwelleth in the person who laid his/her hands on you will be transferred to you (Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. Deuteronomy 34:9a).
Bottom-line: Be watchful & prayerful of whose hands you allowed to be laid on you. Just because He pastor or minister in church doesn't mean he have the spirit of God in him. BE WISE!
Have a great weekend!
Stay Blessed
