How was your Sunday service?? I believed that you had an awesome weekend and service today. Well, I didn't go to my home church today (I was strong) but I went to church online (Thank God for technology). I will be sharing what I learned from the message later during the week.
Three days ago, I shared with you the lessons learnt from a book titled "The Young Lady in Waiting: Developing the heart of a princess". You can get your own hard-copy or eBook version of the book from this link The Young Lady in Waiting. This book is not for anyone young lady but for a young lady who want to follow God's guidelines for her life. I pray that the Holy Spirit will minister & instruct you today as you read in Jesus name (Amen).
Just a re-cap from the last post (you can find it here The Young Lady in waiting-PART 1 )
- Getting involved in the things of the kingdom is the best thing you can ever do (1 Corinthians 7:34; KJV There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
- You only get full satisfaction when you get involved in the service of God.
- Your waiting period is an opportunity for you to use your God-given gifts. Everyone created has a God-given gift(s) hidden in them. It is either you've discovered them or that you haven't discovered them yet. Your gift might range from hospitality, teaching, giving encouragement to people, prayer (intercessory), counseling, providing service, listening, rendering help and many more. It is important for everyone to locate and use their God-given gift. [My prayer for you is that you will locate your gift(s) and use it for God's glory in Jesus name Amen]
- Your motive must be right while using your gifts and attending singles' event. A single lady or guy can attend all the single conferences, seminars, conferences but if your number one motive is to meet "Mr. Right" then you might be disappointing if you don't achieve this purpose. All I am saying is, have a spiritual mindset/perspective while attending those events. Don't be carnally minded by spending more hours thinking on what to wear and forgetting the spiritual purpose of it. Sometimes, you can seek God's face, pray for God to lead you and leave the rest to Him to perfect it.
- Forget any anxious thoughts or questions that are based on fears but place your eyes on Jesus (Psalm 121:1-2; KJV) I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
(Philippians 4:6-7; KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. - Draw near to God during the waiting period. Spend quality time in his word, make positive confessions, believe in His word regarding your marital life, spend time in prayer and seek God's face. (Romans 10:17; KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
- Develop your inner man (your spiritual life). You don't want to base your marriage only on beauty while neglecting your spirit being. Your beauty should come from within because "A marriage based on outward beauty can lead to immortality". (1 Peter 3:3-4; NIV) Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
Bottom-line: Don't spend time developing your outward beauty while forgetting what God has called you to be. Seek first God's kingdom and he will add His increase to it.
Stay focused, I will be back soon to share the final post on this topic with you.
Have a great week ahead!
Stay Blessed
Truth don't spend developing your outward beauty
